Every donation helps create opportunities for people to learn, grow, and connect through food.
Your support makes it possible to provide hands-on gardening workshops, food preservation classes, cooking demonstrations, volunteer programs, and the development of our outdoor classroom. Together, we're creating a welcoming place where children, families, and community members can build practical skills that strengthen healthier, more connected communities.
Every gift—large or small—helps turn this vision into reality.
Every seed planted, every workshop taught, and every volunteer who lends a hand helps create something much bigger than a garden.
Your support helps build a place where children discover where food comes from, families learn new skills together, and neighbors connect through hands-on experiences. Together, we're growing confidence, opportunity, and stronger communities—one lesson at a time.
This is more than an outdoor classroom for me, it's a passion. It's a dream of creating a place where everyone feels welcome.
Imagine raised garden beds that are easier to reach, wider pathways that welcome everyone, and gathering spaces where neighbors become friends. A place where we can grow food, share meals, laugh together, and learn from one another.
Imagine learning how to make your own seasonings, preserve the harvest by making jellies and sauces, cook fresh meals together around tables in the garden, and leave with not only the fruits of your labor and new skills, but also the excitement to come back and do it again.
I don't want it to feel like a classroom.
I want it to feel like a picnic with friends where learning happens naturally.
Because I believe learning doesn't have to be hard, boring, or expensive. It should feel welcoming. It should feel peaceful. It should leave you feeling inspired instead of overwhelmed.
Now more than ever, it's important that we begin taking charge of where our food comes from. We see recalls on foods we depend on almost every week. While most of us can't grow everything we need, imagine what could happen if each of us grew something. We could share our harvests, trade with our neighbors, and slowly rebuild the sense of community and fellowship that so many of us have been missing.
If I could build this by myself, I would. In many ways, that's how TheHoodGarden began. But I've reached a point where this vision has grown beyond what one person can do alone.
I'd be honored to have you alongside me.
